Dryer vent cleaning. Faster dry times. Lower fire risk.
Clogged dryer vents cause an estimated 2,900 home fires every year. Beyond the fire risk, a clogged vent doubles your dry times, kills the heating element early, and burns more energy than the dryer itself. We clean the full vent run from the dryer to the wall hood with rotary brushes and a HEPA vacuum.

What do homeowners ask about Dryer Vent?
How often should dryer vents be cleaned?
Once a year for typical households. Twice a year for homes with pets, large families, or vent runs longer than 25 feet. The signs to watch for are dry times creeping up and the dryer running hotter than normal — both mean the vent is restricting airflow.
Can I just clean it myself with a brush from the hardware store?
You can do a partial job from one end with a 10-foot brush. The full vent run is usually 15–30 feet with elbows, and the lint past the first elbow needs rotary brushing with vacuum collection to get clean. We do the full run plus the lint screen frame, which is where most house fires actually start.
Why is my flexible foil vent a problem?
Flexible foil and plastic vents trap lint in every ridge, sag in the middle, and tear easily. They are also no longer code in most jurisdictions — UL and the IRC require rigid metal vent for the entire concealed run. We replace failed flexible vent with rigid aluminum during the cleaning visit.
My dryer vents through the roof. Is that more expensive?
Yes — roof-vented dryers run $249 instead of $149 because we work from the roof. We also inspect the roof termination cap (often missing the backdraft damper) and remove bird nests, which are common in San Diego County rooftop vents.
How is dryer vent cleaning related to chimney sweeping?
Same skills — confined space cleaning, brush-and-vacuum technique, and combustion safety. Dryer vent fires and chimney fires are the two leading sources of vented fires in residential homes. Most CSIA-certified sweeps offer both.

Homeowners who hired us for this
Bought our 1980s house with no service history on the fireplace. Their camera scan found a cracked clay tile we never would have spotted. Sweep was dust-free — couldn't tell they'd been in our living room. Written report in my inbox the next morning.
Called for a leak that two roofers had blamed on the roof. Their tech ran a hose test and showed me it was the crown — pictures and everything. Crown rebuild stopped the leak the same week. Honest work and clear pricing.
Raccoons in the chimney for two seasons. Other companies wanted to sell me a full inspection package first. Draft Pro came out, installed a stainless cap with proper mesh, and the noises stopped that night. Fair price.
